MY Exhibition
ANARCHY 2017
My exhibition is titled "ANARCHY" and features 11 original images. The overall concept of my show was to document the lives of a group of South London teenagers. The aim is to remove some of the stereotypes that we are all dangerous and unruly, this theme is important to me as I believe that our generation is unfairly overly scrutinised for no reason. Myself and my friends believe that the elder generations have forgotten what being young was like and the new rushes of emotions that come with it.
THE CURATION
Whilst curating this exhibition I had the almost imposable task of selecting the correct images to fulfil the theme and specific emotion that I wanted to convey.
During this process I had over 100 images to select from, this as a photographer felt like I was picking a favourite child. Eventually I managed to select 11 images, 6 of which feature my friends as the main subjects the remaining 5 either show locations that we like to loiter at including SOHO or Covent garden, I included these images to show how the youth don't just visit shopping centres or loiter around council estates. I feel that through these images I managed to perfectly capture the themes I wanted to convey.

THE LAYOUT
I decided to hold the exhibition in my bedroom, I realised that I had 2 white shelves that I could base my works around. I wanted to keep the layout simple because sometimes if it is too complicated it can take away from the images themselves.
Once I had completed placing the images I noticed that an illusion of stairs was shown.
